Visiting an old friend
Needed to take some time to reflect on a few things. Even though I don’t believe in Christianity anymore there doesn’t seem to be a secular alternative for prayer. This is especially true when friends have died or things going very wrong for people close to you.

Was listening to the shady couple next to me (they met in Vegas) argue for a while before putting in my headphones and turning up the 80’s. The majority of bar patrons, especially in hole in the wall places, have issues. I had forgotten but have now been reminded.
Uncle Vito’s – remembering the twins
Popped into Uncle Vito’s after a long absence. These two empty chairs reminded me of the twins Marian and Vivían Brown, the famous San Francisco twins who could often be found in them enjoying an afternoon drink by the window in these two chairs.
