It is midday on Tuesday, April 24th.
I had an issue with my new laptop in that it was running very slowly. I learned that it was due to a lot of updates that were being installed and so I kept that window open so it could complete. After one Windows 10 update the Windows task button stopped working completely and so I had to resort to the physical Windows button +R to get to where I was going. Even doing that the laptop was still being very testy and wouldn’t let me open certain windows.
This caused a bit of a panic because there was very little functionality. Eventually I was able to get to the Settings screen and after a few more Windows updates it started working again.
When I buy a new computer I expect it to run extremely fast since it is new. I’ve found this is rarely the case since the operating system and programs I use continually get larger. This is always a bit of a disappointment. The laptop is running pretty well now though so after a frustrating morning I’m content again.
Thoughts for the day:
I still very much dislike drivers of Lexus’ and BMWs. They are rude, and seemingly self entitled to drive like complete jerks. One would think that when you reach adulthood you’d have more manners but that certainly isn’t the case in our society. I’ve stopped counting how many times drivers of these brands cut people off, speed and will never, ever let another driver in given the opportunity.
Well, I did have some other things in mind to write about this morning but they all disappear when I actually open up the computer. Perhaps I’ll revisit this post later on today as I am enjoying using my new laptop.
