It is 8:10 PM on Tuesday October 17th, 2017.
As Halloween approaches we’ve been watching more Halloween themed kids movies on Netflix and Amazon Prime. Tonight we watched something from Goosebumps dealing with ghosts and there were scenes of teenagers dancing around. It got me thinking about how much emphasis society puts on being able to dance, sing and basically entertain. Everything is now reality TV, the shows are about dancing and singing, everything is entertainment. It makes me wonder if this is a sign of decline in American society. There is always some show to be put on, some image to create on social media, nothing seems genuine anymore.
All the songs for the young are done with autotune, everyone wants to be an ‘extreme’ sports star or entertainer or have a lot of money. This is most apparent in LA which is one of the reasons I really don’t like LA.
But let’s get back to ghosts. I really think we have a friendly ghost in the house. Last night I awoke at 2:00 AM and right then the toy Buzz Lightyear went off in the living room. I told my wife about it and she told me our youngest potty – which plays a song when you pee in it – also went off by itself around midnight. Our toys seem to go off a lot by themselves. The craziest incident is when I awoke in the middle of the night and the toy telephone said “hello.” This was a few years ago. I wasn’t spooked, I just thought about it for a minute and then said ‘hello’ back.
I wasn’t spooked about any of the incidents and would like to have a conversation with the ghost if possible. Of course if you say these things people will look at you like you’re crazy but no matter, I’ve come to the conclusion that we’re all a bit mad. Half the country elected Trump after all and a good majority of people go to church every Sunday and follow ancient rituals which have been shown to be nothing more than fairy-tale.
Sometimes I wonder if we ourselves are not artificial intelligence and this reality is some sort of training program to see how we can progress using logic. Half have failed by electing Trump and most can’t shake religion so it doesn’t look like we’re doing too well if this is indeed a training program.
I for one have come to the conclusion that there is a lot more going on than we can perceive. The toys going off in the middle of the night are only one instance. Think of the entire universe and how much must be happening out there. Think about what is beyond the universe and even beyond death. Again, talking like this and people think you’re crazy then go right around and go to church believing whatever it is the man with the robe on says. I know there are things we cannot sense and perceive and I find it absolutely incredible.
Even when things are not in the realm of ghosts, life after death and what not but are firmly rooted in science and nobody seems to take interest. I posted about NASA printing your name on a microchip and sending it to Mars and it only got two likes on Facebook. Yet, post something stupid about sports or somebody singing and dancing and you’ll get a flood of likes. How boring, how drab people are. This makes me feel rather lonely in mainstream culture with nobody to talk to about truly interesting things.
If I mentioned the toys going off in the middle of the night it would be met with a shrug and out of mind before my sentence was even finished. And so here I am, with was is quite possibly a ‘ghost’ in the house and since I’ll never be able to prove it and nothing more will happen except for other toys going off nothing will ever come of it. But there is something going on, toys just don’t go off for no reason, in the middle of the night, right when I wake up. I’m a very light sleeper and wake up to any noise. It isn’t the noise from toys waking me up that is interesting, it is that the toys go off right when I have woken up!
Anyway, on to other subjects, this week is very busy and I’ve got two important RFPs this week. As of today I’m prepared and ready so should probably sleep well tonight. Last night was full of terrible dreams because of all I had to get accomplished today. That is now done and I’m ready to get this week over with.
I hope the toys go off again tonight. Some other sign might be nice as it would give me something more to write about. I hear you ghost and I’m not afraid so please continue trying to make contact. I’d love for this veil which shrouds all that is going on to be lifted just a little.
Finally, I’m out in my clubhouse writing this and there is some animal out there making a little noise in the shrubbery. What makes things more exciting is that there have been mountain lion sightings, one of which occurred just two weeks ago on the street just below my back patio. I’m fenced in and no longer let my kids play outside by themselves so not too worried but one must always take precautions. That is why I have a mini-bat right next to me on the table. After all, I’m not in that much of a hurry to join the ghosts.
