This is the secret of Pacifica. Just about everyone in the Bay Area believes Pacifica to be very foggy which it is. However, in the back of Linda Mar is a place called “Sun Valley.” If you notice the fog line stops and there is a lot of blue sky back there.
The reason is that the mountains encompass the valley which actually makes the low/mid level fog go right around it. Thus Sun Valley gets about 70% less fog than the rest of Pacifica.
