I haven’t been working on my website lately due to computer problems. It seems one must be more prudent when updating the BIOS on Dell notebook computers. It seems every time they come out with a new bios update they create more problems than they fixed. My problem was when I upgraded the bios to A22 it kept telling my fans to run full speed which took up 100% of the CPU’s processing power thus slowing down my whole computer. I took it to a computer store thinking it was a power source problem but they simply ripped me off to the tune of $120 dollars and didn’t even fix the problem. They were also less knowledgeable than I concerning computers.

After a few weeks of research, calls to Dell tech support, a Ph.D. friend and one computer store I finally found a quick fix. If you have this problem go to http://www.diefer.de/i8kfan/ to obtain a program that lets you control your fans speed. I have it set to run at certain speeds depending on my CPU’s temp.
